Jaipur/Bikaner: This time the mood of nature in Rajasthan has surprised everyone. Even before Holi the cooling in the state has disappeared and the sharp heat of the sun has now started relieving sweat.
Alam is that in the early week of March itself, mercury has reached 9 degrees Celsius above normal, which has led to the extreme summer coming.
The maximum temperature was recorded at 38 degrees Celsius in Jaisalmer, Chittorgarh and Barmer. This is not a normal condition but experts believe that this is a sign of early summer surge.
The daytime chains in the central and western parts of the state are now restless even nights, as the minimum temperature is also being recorded at 6 degrees higher than normal.
Beware! Heatwave Alert is coming
Weather is likely to be even more aggressive in southern and western parts of Rajasthan in the next 72 hours. Heatwaves are likely to occur in Barmer, Jalore and adjoining sandy areas on March 10 and 11.
During this time, mercury can cross the threshold of 40 degrees Celsius. The department has warned that dry winds will lead to a sharp drop in moisture, which can increase the risk of dehydration.
Status of cities: where is it?
Bikaner and Jaisalmer are currently hotspots.Sri Ganganagar recorded 36 degrees Celsius, while Shekhawati recorded 37 degrees Celsius. The nights in Pink City Jaipur are also starting to warm up, where the minimum temperature is above 19 degrees. Except for Mount Abu, the speed of fans and coolers has now started increasing across the state.
Why is the pattern changing?
Climate experts say that the sky is absolutely clear in Rajasthan due to falling humidity levels in the atmosphere and lack of anti-cyclonic circulation. Direct sunlight is heating up the earth quickly. If this trend continues, the heat in April and May could break records in the last several years.
