MG Gloster Facelift And Electric MPV – Ready to Set the Roads Ablaze

Following the success of the recently launched Hector Blackstorm Edition, MG Motors is now set to create more waves with two new spectacular vehicles. These include a robust facelifted Gloster and an electrifying MPV, finally stepping into the world of electric mobility after a long wait. Let’s delve into the details of these two vehicles.

1. MG Gloster Facelift – Bold Looks and Latest Features

The new MG Gloster facelift showcases impressive changes both on the exterior and interior, albeit with minimal mechanical alterations. Externally, it boasts a completely revamped front fascia with a large grille and a split headlamp setup. Additionally, redesigned bumpers will accommodate the headlights.

The interior, already premium compared to vehicles like Fortuner or Endeavour, is set to become even better. Expectations include a large infotainment screen with wireless smartphone connectivity, dual-zone climate control, wireless charger, digital instrument cluster, 360-degree camera, and Level-2 ADAS suite.

Under the hood, expect a 2.0-liter turbo diesel engine for 2WD variants and a 2.0-liter twin-turbo diesel engine for 4WD variants. Transmission options are likely to be limited to an 8-speed torque converter gearbox. The expected price at launch is around 40-45 lakhs.

2. MG Electric MPV – Accelerating Electric Mobility

Recently spotted testing on Indian roads under heavy camouflage, MG’s electric MPV is confirmed to be based on the Wuling Cloud EV platform. The testing phase has revealed some notable features.

Externally, it will feature a split headlamp setup, integrated indicators in LED DRLs, a charging port on the left front fender, new alloy wheels, door-mounted ORVMs, LED taillights, an integrated spoiler, flash door handles, and space for a rear bumper number plate.

Internally, expect a large floating touchscreen unit, digital instrument cluster, control buttons on the steering wheel, manual IRVM, and rear AC vents. In India, the MG version of the Cloud EV will feature a large 50.6kWh battery capable of providing a range of 505 kilometers on a single charge.
