1 About WinDoc

WinDoc is a local PDF utility app that allows users to read, annotate, and convert documents. The App is designed to work entirely on your device without requiring an internet connection or user account.

2 Information We Do NOT Collect

We want to be completely transparent. WinDoc does not collect:

• Your name, email address, or any account information
• Your PDF files, Word documents, or images
• Location data
• Device identifiers or advertising IDs
• Usage analytics or crash reports
• Contacts, call logs, or any other personal information

3 Permissions We Request

WinDoc requests the following device permissions solely to provide core functionality:

We do not request permissions for camera, microphone, contacts, location, or internet access for any data collection purpose.

4 Local Processing Only

All operations in WinDoc — including PDF rendering, annotation, and document conversion — are performed entirely on your device. Your files are never uploaded to our servers or any third-party server. No network connection is required to use the App’s core features.

5 File Sharing

WinDoc provides an optional “Share” feature that allows you to share converted or annotated files using your device’s built-in sharing system (e.g., WhatsApp, Gmail, Google Drive). When you use this feature:

• Sharing is initiated solely by your own action
• WinDoc has no control over the privacy practices of the apps you share to
• We do not receive any copy of the shared file

6 Third-Party Libraries

WinDoc uses the following open-source libraries to deliver its features:

• Android PdfRenderer (Google / AOSP) – for PDF viewing
• Apache POI – for reading Word (.docx) files locally
• Glide – for efficient image loading on-device
• AndroidX / Material Components (Google) – for UI components

None of these libraries are configured to collect or transmit personal data in WinDoc.

7 Children’s Privacy

WinDoc is a general-purpose document utility suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age in your country). Since WinDoc does not collect any personal data from any user, it is safe for use by children.

8 Data Security

Since WinDoc processes all data locally on your device and does not transmit any data to external servers, your documents and files remain protected by your device’s own security features (screen lock, encryption, etc.). We strongly recommend keeping your device updated and protected with a passcode.

9 Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this policy. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.

10 Your Rights
